5. The Product Placement Is Relentless
Given that Jurassic World takes place in a huge theme park it's hardly surprising that it features more than its fair share of product placement. Rows of cafes and shops featuring the likes of Starbucks is, after all, what you'd expect if Jurassic World actually existed. Yet while it can be argued that product placement in a movie set in a theme park is entirely justifiable in the context, some have argued that Jurassic World takes things to new levels of crassness which, given that the film explores the theme of corporate greed, comes across as hypocritical. The Mercedes product placement which caused a stir in earlier promotional material is just one example of many egregious examples throughout the film. One remark suggests that the film "plays like a self-parody of itself with anti-capitalist themes yet ironically has product placement every ten minutes." Hopefully it won't be as obvious and overbearing as Man Of Steel...
