Justice League: 10 Biggest Questions It Leaves Unanswered

8. Is Cyborg Going To Go Rogue?

Justice League The Flash
Warner Bros.

By far one of the best parts of Justice League is newcomer, Cyborg. Although he was written off before the film released, he's the only new superhero in the sequel who has anything resembling an arc, with the blockbuster taking the time to focus on his transformation and the sorrow he feels over his new mechanical body.

One of the most interesting narrative tidbits in the movie surrounds Cyborg's own body malfunctioning, acting independently from his will. It's the reason Superman begins to pummel the whole team after being resurrected, as Vic accidentally fires a rocket at him.

The thing is, after this scene Cyborg's unreliable body is never brought up again. In every fight, even when Superman is around, he's always in control, being able to fend off Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons. The reason for his malfunctions are never explained, and it's unclear whether it's the influence of the motherbox, him not being in control of his powers, or something else entirely.

It could be setting up the idea of Cyborg's own body eventually being used against the Justice League in a future film, but for now the reason for his unpredictability has been left unresolved.
