One of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's best Easter Eggs came when Robin's costume could be seen on display in the Batcave. Defaced by The Joker, it's clear that this version of the Boy Wonder was murdered by the Clown Prince of Crime years earlier.

With Jared Leto set to reprise the role of this iconic Batman villain in the "Snyder Cut" of Justice League, it's looking like their shared history is going to be explored in some way. However, will that include a flashback to the day Robin died? Possibly, but comments from the filmmaker have suggested that The Joker will instead appear in those "Knightmare" scenes.

Previously, Snyder has revealed that his Robin would be Dick Grayson, while some costumers recently took to Instagram to share the reveal that the sidekick was actually set on fire by The Joker (hence why his suit lacks colour and Wayne Manor is a shell of its former self).

There was once a rumour that the director had enlisted his son to play Robin, so don't be surprised if the hero's gruesome fate does indeed find its way into Justice League.
