Justice League: 10 Crazy Zack Snyder Ideas For The DCEU We Could See In The Snyder Cut

When Cyborg is destroyed by Steppenwolf, the Flash travels back in time for the first time and learns that there are more abilities than he just super speed. Zack Snyder has revealed that it was the Dark Knight's plan to send the Scarlet Speedster back in time from that desolate "Knightmare" future by building the Cosmic Treadmill from the comic books.

The filmmaker planned to explore the more complicated aspects of time-travel too, and the reason the Flash returned to that incorrect point in history in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is because that was the closest they could get to Lois Lane's death at the hands of Darkseid.

With "Knightmare" clearly set to be a big part of this "Snyder Cut," the filmmaker has the opportunity to explore many of the ideas he had planned for a sequel which is now unlikely to become a reality. Avengers: Endgame made great use of time-travel, but the filmmaker could completely rewrite the history of his DC Extended Universe with scenes like this.

With four hours to play with, there's certainly going to be time to delve into plot threads like this...
