5. Superman Delays Joining The Final Fight For Dramatic Effect
During the final climactic fight that takes place in Russia (for some reason), the members of the Justice League find themselves caught up in a CGI-addled battle against Steppenwolf and his nasty minions.
At first, it's Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, the Flash, and Aquaman fighting the good fight, whilst Superman is nowhere to be seen.
Halfway through the battle, however, at the moment when all appears to be lost, Superman turns up to save the day/end the battle. The movie doesn't really offer any reason as to why Superman is late to the party because there isn't one - especially since he has the ability to fly around the entire Earth in minutes.
The real reason, of course, stems from the fact that the writers wanted to create a moment of dramatic tension. They couldn't have Superman there from the start, because there would be no stakes. So, of course, randomly and without any attempt and an explanation (what sort of film do you think this is?), they simply bring him in when it looks like the team is on the brink of failure.
