Justice League: 10 Dumb Plot Holes That Derailed The Film
3. The "Superman Is Dead" Inconsistency
A big part of Justice League is concerned with bringing Superman back to life, which is achieved using an extensive plan involving a Mother Box, the Flash's ability to create an electrical charge, and a fallen Kryptonian ship.
Thing is, Justice League totally seems to forget about the little moment at the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where we're treated to a shot of Superman's coffin, only to see the dirt on top rising up. The obvious suggestion here is that Superman isn't actually dead, or can't be kept dead.
Justice League completely forgets that the last movie had already suggested a natural resurrection, though, and instead implements some rubbish about Mother Boxes. Clearly the writers decided to ignore the end of Batman v Superman because their idea about Mother Boxes was so brilliant, but didn't the ending of that movie make it clear that Superman was still actually alive in some capacity?
In that case, then, the whole Mother Box resurrection makes no sense and there's a jarring inconsistency between Batman v Superman and this film. Trying to think about it all is enough to give you a permanent headache.
