Justice League: 10 New Scenes Zack Snyder's Upcoming Reshoots Could Add

6. Lex Luthor Escapes From Arkham Asylum

Justice League Snyder Cut
Warner Bros.

The theatrical version of Justice League included a rushed post-credits scene with the reveal that Lex Luthor had escaped Arkham Asylum and was now on a boat hiring Deathstroke for what appeared to be the Legion of Doom or Injustice League.

Jesse Eisenberg has indicated that he only ever had a cameo in the movie (in a scene which originally was going to set the stage for The Batman based on what was revealed about that now cancelled film), but Snyder could use these reshoots to expand on that.

Seeing as Luthor was the one who brought Steppenwolf to Earth, reshoots could flesh that relationship out, as well as revealing how he managed to escape Arkham Asylum in the process. That post-credits scene could even be scrapped, with a new version showing Batman and Superman foiling that, and providing some resolution to Lex's arc by leaving him where he belongs: behind bars.

After all, if nothing else, these reshoots are a good opportunity to tie up loose ends which would have been addressed in the sequel which is now highly unlikely to happen.
