Justice League: 10 Recent Developments You Need To Know About
4. Lex Luthor Has Allegedly Been Cut From The Film
Jesse Eisenberg's maiden outing as Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman divided fans and critics, so much so that the character has been surgically removed from Justice League in post production, or so it would seem.
According to Batman On Film, all off the villain's scenes lie on the cutting room floor following Joss Whedon's brutal round of edits.
If the rumours are true, this would be quite the U-turn from Warner Bros, which not only announced Eisenberg for the film initially, but had his character in cahoots with Steppenwolf in Batman v Superman to create connective tissue for Justice League.
Earlier reports suggest the original plan was to have Lex busted out of Arkham Asylum by Deathstroke, so his alleged deletion seems to indicate the fans won't get to see Slade Wilson in the film either.
Perhaps this scene, and the others involving Luthor will show up on the film's home media extended cut. Otherwise fans may have to wait for Man of Steel 2 to see more of Superman's arch-nemesis.
