Justice League: 10 Things That Have Threatened To Ruin The Hype
6. Those Dreaded "Reshoots"
It's a silly trend in modern cinema commentary (and fandom) - propelled mostly by the irrepressible appetite for controversy and apparent disaster - that any mention of a "reshoot" is deemed as some sort of indication of failure.
The reality, of course, is that most films have secondary filming, involving pick-ups, additional scenes and reshoots. It's only in the past few years that "reshoots" have taken on the extreme ominous tone that they currently have, and none have been so needlessly picked at as Justice League's.
Despite the fact that several people have clarified that Joss Whedon was only ever in charge of adding new scenes rather than reshooting anything Zack Snyder had already done, the narrative around the film's reshoots became repair and rescue, and there was no convincing some of the more cynical commenters.
And if there's one pure indication of a film's problems these days, it's the need for reshoots, apparently.
