Justice League: 10 Ways Joker Could Factor Into The Snyder Cut

1. The Death Of Lois Lane

Joker Jared Leto
DC Comics

Remember in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice when the future Flash visited Bruce Wayne and talked about Lois Lane? How about when the Man of Steel talked about the Dark Knight letting her die? The insinuation was that his fall to the dark side was a result of Batman's inaction, so what if it's The Joker who murders Lois?

The entire "Knightmare" concept seemingly took inspiration from the post-apocalyptic Injustice: Gods Among Us video game, and in that, Superman loses his mind after the Clown Prince of Crime kills the intrepid Daily Planet reporter (he even puts his fist through The Joker's chest).

While Zack Snyder has previously confirmed that Superman falls under the control of Darkseid's Anti-Life Equation, Lois' death could be the tipping point. The fact Batman has never put a permanent end to the villain - as he was forced to with General Zod - would perfectly explain the hatred he has for the vigilante in that bleak future.

This would tie things together nicely, and be a great use of Jared Leto's Harlequin of Hate!
