Justice League: 10 Ways Joker Could Factor Into The Snyder Cut

6. An Unexpected Ally To Steppenwolf

Steppenwolf is being completely overhauled for Justice League, and as well as a new look, chances are Ciaran Hinds is recording a tonne of new dialogue as well. In the theatrical version of the DC Comics movie, he showed up on Earth knowing exactly what to do and not remotely fazed by the League standing up to him.

The belief at the time was that Lex Luthor might have given him an indication of what to expect, but what if in The Snyder Cut, Steppenwolf finds himself aligned with The Joker?

This is an admittedly weird pairing, but the Clown Prince of Crime has always been something of a master manipulator in the comic books, and it would be beyond satisfying to see a whole new side of Jared Leto's deranged villain in this version of Justice League.

Using Steppenwolf in his quest to destroy the team and make sure Batman is once again alone (as he was after the death of Robin), The Joker could get his comeuppance here when he realises he's crossed a force more powerful than he ever imagined.
