Justice League: 10 Ways Joker Could Factor Into The Snyder Cut
5. Hunting Down The Mother Boxes
Of course, an alternative to The Joker working with Steppenwolf and Darkseid is him having an agenda of his own. In an earlier version of Suicide Squad, the plan was for Task Force X to be sent after an Enchantress who was being manipulated by Steppenwolf. Rather than having an army of faceless monsters by her side, the villain was set to command Parademons in Midway City.
It's too late for any of that to happen, of course, but the idea of The Joker wanting to get his deranged hands on a Mother Box has already been considered, so it could be reused for The Snyder Cut.
Inserting the Clown Prince of Crime into this movie as a secondary villain would be unexpected, but also a potentially fun subplot for a project that's now being released in four instalments. As a result, there's time for The Joker's story to breathe, and this could all tie into the aforementioned "Knightmare" sequence.
The Joker will do whatever it takes to destroy Batman, and unleashing the power of these ancient weapons could finally give him the world that Enchantress was supposed to promise him in Suicide Squad's original final act.
