6. Superman Time Travels

The history of Superman and time travel on the big screen is short but very controversial, thanks to that one time he literally spun the Earth back on its access to turn back time and save Lois Lane. It was not a high point for the character and it was one of those unfair God-mode moments that just shatter any plot conflict into pieces.

And time travel could have been part of Superman's cinematic history once more if this Justice League had gone ahead, as Supes would have gone through a Boom Tube and travelled eleven years into the future to discover that Darkseid had taken complete control of Earth. 80% of the population would be dead and what remained of a heroic alliance was fighting to take back control.
