20. One Of The Mother Boxes Worked Before It Was Working

And on top of the problem of timing for Steppenwolf, there's also another issue with the explanation of the Boxes turning on when Superman died. That problem is that it's all clearly a lie.

In Batman v Superman, it's established that Cyborg was created by Silas Stone using the Mother Box to save his son's life after an accident that would have been fatal otherwise. It's also reiterated in Justice League.

So how the hell was that possible if the Boxes were turned off before Superman died at the end of the same movie?
