When Barry first meets up with Bruce, he refers to himself as "a good Jewish boy", which might initially seem like another off-hand quip, but it's actually rooted in the comics that Barry Allen is in fact a Jew.

A late-80s comic first floated the idea, with Green Lantern wishing Barry Happy Hanukkah over the Christmas period, and though it's not a particularly well-known fact to even hardcore Flash fans, it's not simply something that Justice League pulled out of thin air just for the hell of it.

It probably doesn't hurt that Miller is himself Jewish, so there's that, too.
