5. Mother Boxes = Infinity Stones

It would be foolish at this stage not to note that the whole idea of the Mother Boxes and an evil all-powerful alien comingto Earth to retrieve them isn't awfully familiar sounding to anyone who has paid any attention to the MCU. And while the plot around the Boxes - and their importance - has mostly been mapped out, the Empire profile does include one intriguing detail from Jason Momoa that doubles down on the Infinity parallel.

Just as the Infinity Stones are powerful alone, but terrifying together, it takes unifying the Boxes to really unleash something special.

"They can be destructive. And when the three boxes get together, it's bad news."

It's a dangerous thing to draw such an obvious parallel to a huge film, but at least Warner Bros know there's appetite for this sort of story already.
