Justice League Comic-Con Trailer: 8 Ups And 2 Downs
7. And Batman Looks AWESOME
Say what you will about Zack Snyder, he knows how to frame a Batman shot.
We very much doubt Joss Whedon had the time to put this kind of imagery together, because it obviously wasn't a last-minute addition - full credit goes to Snyder.
That scene where the Dark Knight is perched on top of a gothic statue with Gotham behind him is vintage Batman stuff, and what about that shot where he's swooping down against a blood-red sky? Truly mind-blowing.
Around the 2:35 mark we see Bats in full combat mode, blocking an incoming blow from one of Steppenwolf's minions before countering in devastating fashion. Gritty, hard-hitting - that's the Batman combat we like.
No wonder Ben Affleck took the opportunity at Comic-Con to dispel rumours he's ditching the cape and cowl.
