Justice League: Every Character Ranked From Worst To Best

5. Superman

Superman's appearance in Justice League is, well, a bit of a mixed bag. Warner Bros was heavily secretive about the Man of Steel's role in the film ahead of release, but in the end it's a little more straight-forward than many were surely expecting.

No, he doesn't wear a black Superman suit, nor does he have a mullet or beard, instead being resurrected via the powers of General Zod's ship, briefly freaking out on his teammates and then being brought back to the heroic side by Lois.

There are a few things that hold Superman back from being truly great in this movie: Henry Cavill's distracting digitally-shaved face, his British accent seeping through when he first reappears, and the fact he only wears the Superman suit for about five minutes.

Still, the Superman we ultimately get does feel very much more like the classic, sunny Superman fans want to see, rather than the mopey douchebag BvS made him out to be.

It's a promising step forward, and now that the whole death and rebirth nonsense is done with, the next movie can really knock the character out of the park.
