Justice League Film: 10 Epic JLA Stories That Should Be Referenced

6. JLA: Year One (Various)

JLA: Year One centers primarily on the secondary members of the Justice League; Martian Manhunter, Flash, Green Lantern Hal Jordan, Aquaman and Black Canary (it was set the post-crisis world in which Wonder Woman had been retconned out of continuity as a founding JLA member) and although Superman and Batman do feature, they take a backseat here as secondary, part-time support members. Following along the lines of the several other Year One re-tellings available in the DC canon, Justice League: Year One looks at the origin of the Justice League in perhaps greater detail than it's ever enjoyed before, which is why I'd be very surprised if it wasn't referenced heavily in the upcoming movie. This series focuses heavily on the group-dynamic at play in the Justice League, on how the various Leaguers interact with each other and on how they ultimately learn to work as a team. Essentially, if the upcoming Justice League movie is an origin story, which of course it must be, then we're bound to see JLA: Year One referenced if not directly then at least in heavily in spirit.
