Justice League Review: 4 Ups & 7 Downs

4. The Flash Steals The Show

Justice League The Flash
Warner Bros.

As was obvious from the moment the first trailer dropped, The Flash is the easy highlight of Justice League, in large part due to Ezra Miller's highly entertaining performance as the hero, and a script which hands him the majority of the film's funniest moments.

Though some might find him a little too Whedon-y at times, for the majority he's a great audience surrogate character, an incredulous fanboy much like the viewer, and while he doesn't get a definite Quicksilver-esque showoff scene, his action beats do account for some of the film's best moments.

Simply, for all of Justice League's problems, it's easy to come away from the film with complete confidence in Miller and the character's enormous potential. With the right director, the upcoming Flashpoint movie could be a real high-point for the DCEU so far.
