Justice League: Snyder Cut - 10 Cuts Warner Bros Should NEVER Have Made

6. Cyborg's Entire Story Arc

The Justice League trailer shows multiple shots of Victor Stone before he became Cyborg which were absent from the film. Warner Bros. probably thought they could get away with chopping Cyborg's backstory since he is the least known member of the team. This is a shame since the writer, Chris Terrio, clearly put a lot of effort into the character. Terrio stated that Cyborg's inner conflict with accepting his body was modelled off a disabled person adapting to prosthetic limbs.

Deleted scenes show Victor was a star footballer before being involved in a car crash that dismembered his body and killed his mother. After his father, Silas, revived him with a Mother Box, Victor had to come to grips with his robotic body. Snyder built a new type of multi-camera rig for key shots with Cyborg so its possible it was designed for this scene.

We were meant to see more scenes of Silas working with STAR Labs, including one part where he speaks to Ryan Choi (who becomes The Atom in the comics).

Silas was meant to die in an explosion after a battle between his son and Steppenwolf so it's likely he sacrificed his life to stop Steppenwolf from obtaining the Mother Box.
