There were many things brought to the Justice League table by Zack Snyder that were ultimately left out by Joss Whedon.

Aside from the development of several key members of the team, and the overall tone that Snyder has lent the rest of his DCEU projects, Whedon left out some characters all together.

One that suffered such a fate was Iris West, who was to be portrayed by Kiersey Clemons. The actress' role may have been cut for the cinematic version, but she will feature in the Snyder Cut, as already shown in the trailer.

Her part in the movie isn't likely to be anything more than a cameo, with her true impact set to come later in the extended universe with Flash's solo movie, but it's these little puzzle pieces that will pay off further down the line that the DCEU has been missing ever since its creation.

Not only will this help flesh out Barry's character a bit more, allowing him something else to fight for, it will save the need to take the time introducing West when the Flash movie finally does come to life.
