Justice League: The Snyder Cut - 10 Coolest Details We Know So Far

3. There Are Flashbacks To A Young Darkseid

He was teased in BvS and it seemed as though Justice League was destined to include an appearance from him, but cosmic villain Darkseid was entirely absent from the theatrical version of the film.

In the Snyder Cut, though, his role is much bigger. He has his own musical cues composed by Junkie XL, and actor Ray Porter even provided a voice. While it's not clear if Snyder wanted him to be the main antagonist (Steppenwolf is still involved in the Snyder Cut) we would've definitely seen him in action at least, as proven by the numerous images that have come out over the years.

One scene that Snyder had planned features a young Darkseid (known as "Uxas") laying down the smack against the "defenders of Earth", while in search of the anti-life equation. A similar scene was included in the theatrical cut (the part where Diana talks about the history of Steppenwolf), but with Darkseid completely removed.

Another Darkseid-related character who pops up in the Snyder Cut is DeSaad, one of his loyal followers. In the comics, he's a master torturer, so would be able to give the Justice League some serious headaches. Literally.
