Justice League Vs. The Avengers: Which Is Better?

8. The Villain

The Avengers still touts the best villain in the history of the MCU, with Tom Hiddleston's Loki proving to be one of the franchise's few antagonists who's actually interesting to watch.

Hiddleston's delicious performance combines with Whedon's sharp writing to make Loki a consistently entertaining presence.

Conversely, Justice League has Steppenwolf, a dull digital creation whose motivations are virtually non-existent, and whose garish digital presence is incredibly offputting every time he's on screen. At least Ciaran Hinds' voice was suitably menacing.

Winner: Loki wrecks Steppenwolf and it's embarrassingly one-sided.
