Justice League Vs. The Avengers: Which Is Better?

6. Pacing

The Avengers
Marvel Studios

The Avengers clocks in at a meaty 143 minutes but is for the most part a breezy blast that doesn't outstay its welcome. Aside from the fairly awkward opening, the rest of the movie surges along and makes the most of its time.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. demanded that Justice League run for a square two hours in an attempt to squeeze as many cinema showings in per day as possible. Unfortunately, this results in the final movie feeling incredibly rushed, with countless subplots and sequences being either sped through or left on the cutting room floor. It clearly should've been at least 10-15 minutes longer.

Winner: This a rare case where the longer movie wins out. The Avengers is almost perfectly-paced once it gets going, whereas Justice League really struggles to find a consistent rhythm throughout.
