Justice League Vs Fatal Five
Warner Bros.

No superhero team is complete without a super villainous threat. Ironically, the Fatal Five were a team put together by the Legion of Superheroes in the 30th Century. The Legion created the team hoping that with the help of a group of super-villains, they would be able to defeat an extinction level threat.

The plan worked well enough, but instead of using the opportunity to clean up their act, the devious five-some rejected any chance at turning over a new leaf after helping the Legion defend the Earth. Instead, members Mano, Validus, the Persuader, Emerald Empress, and Tharok saw the group's formation as inspiration to continue to terrorize, now with more strength in numbers.

The Fatal Five proved to be a thorn in the side of the Legion creating a rivalry that continues to this day.

How can five villains be a match for an entire Legion you ask? Well The Persuader has an atomic axe so sharp it can cut through anything; Tharok is half human, half robot, extremely intelligent and has super-strength; Validus has super strength as well but his is more comparable to Superman's; Mano's "Anti-matter Touch" can disintegrate any form of matter, and lastly the Emerald Empress has mastery of the "Eye of Ekron", a mystical eye of a cosmic entity that grants Empress the ability to fly through space, change her density or reality itself, shoot energy blasts, and even cast illusions.
