Justice League Zack Snyder Cut: 10 Amazing Additions That Delivered Everything It Promised

One of the first differences to stand out between the theatrical release and the Snyder Cut is the battle on Themyscira. In the theatrical release, the battle happens quickly as Steppenwolf appears and chases the Amazons across an open field before securing the Mother Box and teleporting away. In the Snyder Cut, so much more time, attention and focus was given to showing how desperately the Amazons fought to keep the Mother Box out of Steppenwolf's hands.

We get to see the Amazons truly fight tooth and nail and give their lives to attempt to stop Steppenwolf. This also does a fantastic job of laying the ground work to show Steppenwolf as the truly unstoppable conqueror that he is. Unlike in most movies, the Amazons don't just attack him one at a time. They swarm him, attacking simultaneously from all sides and doing everything they can to bring him down. Which just makes it all the more harrowing when Steppenwolf emerges victorious.

This scene also does a great job of setting the rest of the events of the movie in motion, as it leads into Wonder Woman learning of the coming threat and helping to more coherently bring the Justice League together.
