Justice League Zack Snyder Cut: 10 Amazing Additions That Delivered Everything It Promised

6. The First Conflict

One of the coolest scenes to be fixed in the Snyder Cut is Darkseid's first attempt at conquering Earth. In the theatrical release, this scene lasted only a few minutes, and portrays Steppenwolf as the enemy, rather than Darkseid as he was in the Snyder Cut. In this version, we see exactly to what extreme the protectors of earth went to in order to repel Darkseid from the planet. We also get much more exposition into what the McGuffins of the movie, the Mother Boxes, are and how they work.

This battle in the Snyder Cut feels epic! It's almost double the length of the theatrical release and we see a lot more of the protectors of earth, including the Gods Zeus and Ares (which was a nice touch to see him return), as well as more of the Green Lanterns, and a harrowing moment where Darkseid almost comes into possession of a Green Lantern ring.

When seen in its entirety, this battle paints a very clear picture of how powerful Darkseid truly is, as well as what is at stake should the Justice League fail to stop Steppenwolf.
