8. Actually Interesting Female Characters

Though there were a lot of mixed responses to the first film's treatment of women (specifically that climactic sex gag), it seemed like the follow-up was going to fix this with the likes of Halle Berry and Julianne Moore joining the cast in meaty supporting roles.

Sadly, that wasn't the case at all. It's all downhill early on, as Roxy is quickly blown to pieces after mere moments of screen time, Eggsy's long-suffering girlfriend Tilde is a completely passive entity, Moore's villain Poppy is surprisingly dull, Berry's Ginger Ale is confined to being forgettable tech support, Presidential aide Emily Watson spends most of the movie in a bad CGI jail, and Poppy Delevingne's Clara Von Gluckfberg gets surely the most questionable finger-banging in blockbuster movie history.

So, what possibilities remain for Kingsman 3? Well, Ginger has now been promoted to become the new Whiskey, which will hopefully mean she's actually allowed to do some fighting next time, considering how convincing Berry has been in action movies previously.

Hopefully Vaughn and Goldman will listen to the outrage surrounding Roxy's demise and not simply give Tilde the same treatment in the third movie's first act, as would be an incredibly lazy way to bring Eggsy out of his retirement, James Bond-style.

How about giving Tilde something vaguely interesting to do, also, and adding some more female field agents to both the good and bad sides?
