Kingsman: The Golden Circle Review: 3 Ups & 7 Downs

2. The Harry Reveal Is...Unsatisfying

Kingsman The Golden Circle Colin Firth

No spoilers here, but if you've been desperate to learn the truth behind Harry Hart's apparent revival after being seemingly killed in the first film, prepare to be pretty disappointed.

The explanation for Colin Firth's return is, sadly, among the lazier and less-interesting options available to Vaughn, only furthering the overall feeling that The Golden Circle is a me-too sequel that lacks the clever freshness of the original.

Firth does about as well as to be expected with what he has, but considering how dull the reveal is, it honestly might've been better if Vaughn just totally gave himself over to the stupidity of it all and made Firth return as a robot clone of Harry or something.

Instead, it really wasn't worth all the pre-release hype and will probably just leave you thinking, "Is that it?"
