During the same sequence set at the Hell Mouth, Weaver ends up trapped in an uncompromising position inside the skeleton of Kong's dead parent with a Skull Crawler on top of the rib cage about to eat her. Luckily, Packard leaps into action, sending in his flame-thrower soldier (a hugely combustible weapon that survives a fiery plane crash, okay, whatever) to rescue her.
Unfortunately, the idiot with the weapon just lights up the entire skeleton, licking flames through the skull and all along its body. You literally see the rib cage where Weaver is hiding erupt into flames, surely confirming her grizzly death.
But nope, she's fine. Slightly annoyed probably, but fine.
