4. The Alpha Skull Crawler Lie

Throughout the film, Marlowe talks about the biggest Skull Crawler - which he calls The Big One to really sell the message - saying she's far bigger and scarier than the other ones and Kong is absolutely not a match for her now that his parents are gone. He's just a growing lad, after all.

Except, this is a massive lie.

When the creature appears, it's smaller than Kong and he beats it up despite still being injured himself, eventually ripping its guts out of its mouth. It's a great hero shot, but why set up a lie when you don't deliver on it?
