10. Predator

The immediately iconic shot of Packard standing with a green flare used for the poster is actually photoshopped, as in the film he's holding a torch he uses to draw Kong's attention to the lake of Napalm he sets up as a trap. That shot is almost certainly framed as a nostalgic tribute to the climax of Predator when Arnold Schwarzenegger challenges the hunter with a torch.

There's also a tribute in Packard's attempt to inspire his team to help him kill Kong. When they see Kong's bloody handprint, it inspires Packard to say that they now know Kong can be injured, so they can "finish the job", which might as well be a rewording of the Predator line "if it bleeds, we can kill it".
