The main reason for Dylan's inclusion is his almost identical resemblance to the game's protagonist. Ruffle his hair and dirty him up a bit and there you will see Joel in the flesh. Many of McDermott's roles have had him portray cops, lawyers, and federal agents but when he starred in the first season of American Horror Story as troubled psychiatrist Dr. Ben Harmon, he received a lot of praise. It was a different kind of role for the actor, and he showed up in second season as well. McDermott definitely possesses the ability to bring Joel to life and it would gain him a lot of new fans, being that it could be the type of role we usually don't see him in. Also, it could be one of those historic movie moments where we would see the cherished character literally come to life before our very eyes on the big screen.
