The Last Of Us Movie: 15 Key Scenes We Need To See

This scene has to be covered well enough in the movie to lead into both David and his group's introduction to Ellie as well as Joel's impalement and near-death experience. It is safe to say that this is one of the most impactful moments of the game and the film will certainly have to match if it plans on being taken seriously by diehard fans. While the random recordings left behind from one of the previous occupants led to nothing but dead ends, discovering that the Fireflies were forced to move operations showed that they were desperate. The hordes of infected monkeys gave the uneasiness that Joel and Ellie were always being watched and could be attacked by a flock at any moment. This is one of the only parts in the game where Ellie gets to fight by herself without any of Joel's help, and the people behind the scenes would benefit from showing moviegoers that she can defend both herself and Joel if need be. The film could also do well by having the chance to flesh out some of the invaders in David's camp if they choose to have them appear again once Ellie and Joel reach their safe haven. Providing David with a few goons like he had in the game could have redeeming endings if they end up being the ones tortured by Joel or slaughtered by Ellie.

Hey, I'm Brandon. I love writing and reading and I study journalism, communication studies and business at the University of Rhode Island. My main passions are sports, music, TV, movies and a lot of other things that would take me way too long to write. WhatCulture is a great place for me to express myself so I'm looking to write as much as I can. Thanks for reading my work.
