The Last Of Us Movie: 15 Key Scenes We Need To See

4. Sam And Henry's Deaths

Of all the people Joel and Ellie befriended in the game, Sam and Henry's deaths certainly lingered on long after the brothers expired. Both got along with their counterparts and served a purpose immediately, but an untimely bite to Sam's leg changed everything. Watching Henry have to kill the only person he had been living for before taking his own life was a chilling reminder of the world the characters were living in. Here is another area where the movie will have to endure the tough task of hiring a capable child actor to fulfill the duties of carrying his scenes emotionally. Sam's last encounter with Ellie as a human was one of the most heartbreaking moments of the game. With growing concern that he'd soon become one of the things he'd been running from for so long, Ellie's reassuring speech only made matters worse for him. To add insult to injury, it remains unknown whether the zombies are still human on the inside or gone completely by the time they become dangerous. The last dagger in the hearts of gamers came when Ellie handed Sam the toy he had longed for back when the two groups first met. He had wanted something to play with for so long and once he finally got it, he was waiting for the last pieces of his sanity to deteriorate.
