During the climactic battle in the forest, Donald Pierce is mostly a spectator, letting his idiotic grunts try and round up the mutant kids for his boss before Rice himself appears and fatally decides to monologue at Logan, who duly shoots him in the throat.

This incenses X-24, whose berserker rage ultimately leads to Logan's death, but the clone is assisted initially by Pierce's pointed intervention - literally - when he shoots a giant harpoon through the back of Logan's leg. It's no more than a mild inconvenience for Logan really, though he is incapacitated in his weaker state, but it doesn't stop it being the kind of image that burrows under your nails horribly.
