Logan: Every Major Character Ranked From Worst To Best
5. X-24
Though the revelation that Zander Rice also created a second clone of Wolverine is almost on the same silliness scale as the Weapon XI shenanigans in X-Men Origins, it's not completely unsuccessful, and it adds the right sort of explosive threat to help wrap the film up.
And at least the clone allowed for some impressive CGI de-ageing of Hugh Jackman, which really ought to impress the awards-givers next year.
The performance is also more than just pure rage, even if part of the point of the character is that he's a distilled, more one-dimensional weapon without the distractions of humanity. It's all surprisingly subtle, actually. There's a strange almost child-like quality to his animalism - and a fierce adoration for his "father" Rice - that basically makes him an extremely angry Frankenstein's monster, and it really is exhilarating to see flashes of the old berserker alongside the wizened broken version.
