Lord Of The Rings: Every Death Ranked From Worst To Best

4. Boromir

Film: The Fellowship of the Ring How he died: In battle Sean Bean is always the first to die in everything but it was a shame that Boromir was taken from the Fellowship so prematurely. He might have been a bit arrogant and his favourite thing in the world was Gondor, but he did realise his mistakes before it was too late to be forgiven. He was a valiant warrior, protecting Merry and Pippin to the end, and it took a lot to bring him down - three arrows in fact. Luckily he was saved from another arrow to the head by Aragorn, but his death and him pledging his allegiance to the King is what makes him death so tragic.
