Luke Ending The Jedi: 10 Things It Could Mean For Star Wars VIII

2. Anakin Could Still Be The Chosen One

Anakin Skywalker was prophesied as the one to bring balance to the Force, and it could be argued that he got the ball rolling on that one by combining Jedi abilities with the power of the Dark Side.

Think about it, Darth Vader was ultimately the one who vanquished the Sith, as he was forecast to do, by throwing the Emperor into the Death Star's reactor shaft.

Interestingly, Luke's 'grey Jedi' could essentially be a refined, more 'balanced' version of what Anakin became when he first embraced the Dark Side.

It was widely considered that Anakin was stripped of the 'chosen one' tag after turning to the Dark Side, but under the new Star Wars status quo that may not be the heinous offence it once was.

For all intents and purposes, Vader could still be the chosen one, operating through his grandson Kylo Ren, a double agent under the guidance of his Force ghost.
