7. Carrie Farris - Green Lanterns Girlfriend
Christina Wren played the role of United States Air Force employee Carrie Farris throughout Man Of Steel. Most memorably, she expressed her opinion that Superman was quite cute at the end of the film. Carrie may have seemed like a generic military character, but theres actually a foreshadowing Easter Egg in her name. Carol Farris, in the comics, was the long-term girlfriend of the Green Lantern. Specifically, the comic book Carol went out with Hal Jordan, the Air Force test pilot version of Green Lantern played by Ryan Reynolds in the 2011 film. Therein, Blake Lively played the role of Carol. In the comics, Carol even went on to become the superhero Star Sapphire (with similar powers to her boyfriend). So what does her inclusion in Man Of Steel mean? Well, long before Warner Bros announced their 2020 Green Lantern Corps film, Carrie Farris role in Man Of Steel was foreshadowing the fact that Hal Jordan and the Green Lanterns exist in the DC Extended Universe. One day, perhaps Christina Wren will even get to suit-up herself as Star Sapphire.
