5. STAR Labs - Cyborg Is On The Way
The signs on the buildings of Man Of Steel were a constant source of entertainment for hardened comic book fans. Even if these fans werent enjoying seeing Superman allow such citywide destruction, at least there was some cool nods towards companies from the comic books. One of these was S.T.A.R. Labs, a scientific research group who had their name atop a large skyscraper in the third act. The DVD extras on Man Of Steels disc release gave a better look at the S.T.A.R. Labs logo, as well as teasing that they may have been studying Kyptonians. Even if that tease comes to nothing, the inclusion of S.T.A.R. Labs in Man Of Steel is a big foreshadowing Easter Egg pointing towards the superhero Cyborg. In the comics, Cyborg (wholl be played by Ray Fisher in the Justice League movies, 2020s Cyborg film and possibly even cameo in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice) was created when an inter-dimensional creature attacked S.T.A.R. Labs. A chap named Victor was severely mutilated, and only managed to survived because his father - a S.T.A.R. Labs employee kitted him out with robotic features. By nodding towards S.T.A.R. Labs in Man Of Steel, Warner Bros teased the introduction of Cyborg long before officially announcing Ray Fishers casting. S.T.A.R. Labs could also feature in 2018s The Flash film, if the movies want to echo The CW series (where S.T.A.R. Labs are constant allies to The Flash)
