5. A Good Look At Krypton
The
Man of Steel trailers and viral videos that have circulated thus far have shown that the destruction of Krypton will indeed be shown on screen in the movie, which is great. However, I am concerned that the trailers have shown the entirety of what will be shown of Krypton in the full movie. Past
Superman movies (both the Christopher Reeve series and Brandon Routh's
Superman Returns) have distinctly lacked an in-depth look at Superman's home planet, as have the live action television dramas involving Clark Kent -
Smallville and
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Therefore, fans of the Kryptonian superhero are very keen to see more of where he came from. I'd personally like to see more of the Kryptonian people (particularly Clark Kent's biological family), the Kryptonian terrain and landscapes, the Kryptonian technology and the untimely destruction of Krypton itself. I'm sure that a lot of people feel the same.
