Man Of Steel: How To Easily Fix Snyder's 10 Biggest Mistakes

9. Why Was Lois on Zod's Ship?

loisThe Problem After Zod threatens the Earth, Superman surrenders himself to humanity and offers to trade himself to defend the planet. All of this is fine, but then when Faora and the Kryptonians come for him, they also say that Zod wants Lois Lane as well. This actually works out great for Superman, because he gives Lois the command key that contains Jor-El€™s consciousness, and with Jor-El€™s help, they€™re able to escape Zod€™s ship. But wait€why did Zod want Lois in the first place? It€™s not so they could learn more about Superman through their mind-reading technology, because they€™re able to read Superman€™s mind just fine. He and Zod even have a little telepathic chat. The only reason for Lois to be there seems to be, "hey, we need her onboard to move the plot forward, so let's just say that Zod wants her, too." The Fix It€™s already been established that Lois knows Superman thanks to Woodburn outing her as his source. So rather than just bringing her on the ship for no real reason, there should have been a scene when they see the broadcast of Woodburn outing Lois and then before the military gets their hands on her, the Kryptonians just go right in and take her to increase Superman€™s incentive to make his presence known.
