The Rumour:

Despite all of the ominous signs that he's not long for this world - not least because Chris Evans has openly talked about the end of his MCU contract - Captain America won't actually be killed off at the climax of Infinity War.

The character - who should be more recognisable as a version of his comic book Nomad counterpart - will seemingly return for Avengers 4, as set photos confirmed he's shooting in Atlanta for it...

Rating: 9/10

If he's there, he's shooting Avengers 4 (there's no way any reshoots for Infinity War wouldn't be immediately picked up on by the press). Plus, his lack of a beard suggests he's moved on from his gruff look shown in the Infinity War posters.

He may still end up on the dead pile by the end of Avengers 4, but don't expect him to be an early goner
