Marvel Cinematic Universe: 10 Small Moments That Would Make A Huge Impact

7. A Single Line Of Dialogue From Thanos In Guardians Of The Galaxy

Unless you were one of the people who were unfamiliar with Thanos from the comic books (in which case your reaction might have been "oh my goodness, it's Hellboy!" or "holy crap, it's a purple Hulk!"), then Thanos' little cameo in the mid-credits scene of the Avengers movie would have supplied you with excitement on a pant-wetting level. The big reveal that the mastermind behind Loki and the Chitauri's invasion of Earth was the Mad Titan was huge, yet the moment in itself was nothing more than a couple of seconds, without any dialogue from the powerhouse, and a sinister smile. Now, imagine a similar moment in next year's Age of Ultron... but this time, the big bad speaks! Jesus H. Christ we'd all explode! Let's assume that Damion Poitier (who played Thanos in the aforementioned brief scene) is scrapped from the role, as expected, and a bigger actor is taking up the role. If that actor says the potential line in the Age of Ultron credits, and his voice is remotely recognisable, there actually will be wet seats around the world. It would be the best tease yet and, if he was to say something along the lines of "time to get my hands dirty", we'd know that the proverbial s**t was about to hit the fan.
