2. Kill Him Off In A Truly Heroic Sacrifice

In order to fully redeem himself, Loki could make the ultimate sacrifice, giving his life to save others. This would be the exact opposite of what he's done in the past by killing on a massive scale and serve as just payment for his many crimes. Of course, this time it would obviously have to be for real. Loki faked his own death in Thor: The Dark World, using the situation to gain access to Asgard's throne. If Loki was to save Thor, the Avengers, any other present heroes and the people of the world by sacrificing his own life, his redemption would be complete. He has done this in the comic books - he was killed by Sentry's evil alter-ego the Void when he was helping to fight it - and that could easily be adapted to the big screen.
