Marvel Cinematic Universe: 11 Steps To Redeeming Loki
8. Give Him A Love Interest
Another way to portray Loki as someone who's genuinely capable of loving would be to give him a love interest. Even if it's someone who's evil themselves, having Loki display a form of affection that he's yet to prove himself capable of would make him more relatable and give him a new sense of purpose - one that shows him as willing to fight to protect someone other than himself. Lorelei has been introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to a couple of appearances of television's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. And, having attempted to impose her influence on Earth, she was taken back to Asgard by Sif and imprisoned. There is, therefore, a chance that she could appear in Thor: Ragnarok, ripe to bump into Loki - she was a love interest of his in the comics, after all. Admittedly, Thor's "romance" with Jane Foster has kind of put us off the idea of unnecessary relationships in Marvel movies, but with Loki it would actually be a welcome change.
