4. It's Played Host To Some Great Stories In The Comics

The Savage Land has been a prime location for great stories (and parts of great stories) and adventures in the Marvel comic books and to bring some of them to the big screen would be just great. Secret Invasion is the one that springs straight to mind when you think of the Savage Land - Secret Invasion being a story in which the Skrulls invade Earth, utilising their shapeshifting abilities for a long-term subversive invasion. In the arc, the Skrulls attempt to mine vibranium in the Savage Land before being killed by a group of Marvel heroes. Other stories that have key parts taking place in the Savage Land include Age of Ultron - which of course is an upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie in 2015 - as well as World War Hulk and several of the ongoing Marvel NOW! comics. Essentially, the inclusion of the Savage Land in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could bring with it some great story arcs and that can only be a good thing.
