Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Out of all the Phase 2 movies, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the one that most feels like The Avengers 1.5. Several of the team-up's key players are here in integral roles and, on top of bringing back key elements from the first film as essential MCU plot points (Bucky Barnes and Hydra), the film implicitly sets the scene for Avengers: Age Of Ultron; the destruction of S.H.I.E.L.D. provides the motivation for the creation of the movie's sub-titular big bad. But that's not all that's going on here. As its hero is ostensibly a man out of time, there's ample opportunity to throw-back to the World War II-set original and in lieu of having the series' major stars appear (that old contract chestnut), there's plenty of contextual winks to other heroes.
